Janet was born in a mountain village in Quang Ngai Province (1,000 km from Saigon) where she lived with her Grandma, Mom and a younger brother for 10 years before reuniting with her Dad in Saigon.

She graduated from the University of Economics (Ho Chi Minh City) and started her career in Vietnam. In 2001 she joined

PwC Melbourne on a 2-year secondment, aiming to develop leadership and technical skills for her future leadership position in PwC Vietnam.  After a year Janet decided to call Australia home. She stayed with PwC Australia (Melbourne & Brisbane) for 10 years before joining SEEK Limited in 2011.

Janet currently holds the position of Group Finance Director at SEEK Ltd. SEEK is a global leader in online employment marketplace with synergistic online education business. SEEK is listed on ASX with a $7.5 billion market capitalisation and operates across 18 countries with exposure to over 4 billion people and 26% of GDP.

Reporting to the SEEK Group CFO, Janet is responsible for two functions:

• SEEK Investments: leading a team of 3 senior finance managers supporting Zhaopin (China), OES (Australia) and multiple early-stage ventures, and Merger & Acquisition activities/transactions across the SEEK Group
• Group Finance: leading a team of 13 finance managers, qualified accountants and system specialists. The Group Finance function is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of SEEK Group’s internal and external reporting.

Janet is a member of Advisory Board, Department of Finance, Deakin University (since 2015). The Advisory Board provides advice to the Finance Faculty on all aspects of Finance programs including the skills, knowledge and attributes sought by the employers of Finance graduates. It also assists with reviews, accreditations and rankings of the undergraduate and postgraduate Finance programs and provides advice on any other matters the Faculty Board deems appropriate.

Janet is currently studying Executive MBA at the Melbourne Business School. She has also commenced the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu CFO Vantage Programme, an elite programme designed to develop next generation of leading CFOS in Australia. It’s exclusively for those individuals who have been nominated by their CFO, as having the capacity to become an ASX 100 group CFO.
